Do you cover the whole of the UK?
Yes. We provide nationwide coverage across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, with regular routes (including weekly Scotland → London/England/Wales) and flexible schedules for collections and deliveries.
Can you move more than just my piano?
Absolutely. Pianospeed Plus Household Removals combines expert piano moving with full household removals, packing, storage and redelivery—ideal when moving your piano and other belongings together.
Piano Moving & Installation
Which pianos do you move?
All types: upright, baby grand, grand and concert grand—including antiques and modern instruments. We also handle digital pianos, harpsichords and stage pianos.
How should I prepare the piano before collection?
Close and secure the lid, remove loose items (music, accessories), and make sure access routes are clear. Let us know about stairs, tight turns, steps, or restricted parking in advance.
Do you handle stairs and difficult access?
Yes. Our two-man teams bring the right equipment (dollies, ramps, pads, floor protection). For complex access (multiple flights, balconies, cranes or external lifts), we’ll plan the safest method and quote accordingly.
Can you position the piano in the room and remove packaging?
Yes. Our White Glove Delivery includes room-of-choice placement and optional packaging removal. We can also handle simple assembly/installation where needed.
Storage & Redelivery
Do you provide piano storage?
Yes—specialist Grand Piano Storage and Upright Piano Storage in clean, dry, secure facilities. Options include short-term storage during moves and long-term storage for collectors, venues and schools.
Do you offer household storage?
We do. We’ll collect, store and redeliver household items and personal effects. Perfect for renovations, relocations or when dates don’t align.
Can you crate my piano or fragile items for export?
Yes—our Piano Crating Service builds bespoke wooden export crates for safe transport to Europe and worldwide. We collect, crate, and deliver to your freight forwarder or onward destination. We can also crate antiques, artwork and other fragile items.
Transport, Haulage & Urgent Delivery
What vehicle sizes do you operate?
From Sprinter vans for quick and local deliveries to 7.5t, 12m box trailers and 40ft articulated trailers for larger consignments. We’ll match the vehicle to the job—parcel, pallet or piano.
Do you provide same day / next day urgent transport?
Yes—nationwide Same Day and Next Day options for parcels through to pallets, time-critical spares, AV and event loads. 24/7 scheduling available.
Do you run weekly services from Scotland to London and the rest of England & Wales?
Yes. We operate a weekly Scotland → London/England/Wales route supporting full & part loads, single items and fragile deliveries. Return trips can be arranged.
Quotes, Pricing & Booking
How do I get a quote?
Provide item type (e.g., piano model), collection & delivery postcodes, access details (stairs, lifts, parking), preferred dates, and any extras (installation, packaging removal, storage, crating). We’ll return a fixed, transparent price.
What affects the price?
Distance, access complexity (stairs/tight turns), item size/weight, required crew/vehicle, urgency (same day/next day), and optional services (installation, storage, crating).
How soon can you collect?
Standard bookings are typically scheduled within a few days. Same day and next day slots are often available—ask and we’ll accommodate where possible.
How do I book?
Once you approve the quote, we confirm your slot, send prep/access guidance, and keep you updated. We can coordinate directly with retailers, building managers and freight forwarders if required.
Packaging, Protection & Care
Do you supply packing materials?
Yes—on request we provide protective wraps, blankets, export-grade packing, cases and bespoke wooden crates for fragile or high-value items.
Can you remove and recycle packaging after delivery?
Yes—our White Glove teams can unpack, place items in room of choice, and remove packaging for recycling/disposal.
